Together We Dine™: The Journey Here

  • Coppell Arts Center 505 Travis Street Coppell, Texas, 75019 United States (map)

We're setting the table again!

Project Unity partners with the City of Coppell to bring you Together We Dine™, which provides an opportunity for community members and staff of diverse backgrounds to gather over a meal in a non-judgmental, non-confrontational, and respectful space to have meaningful conversations — this time centered around the journeys that bring us here.

Every person at the table carries a story of movement. Some of us left countries, climates, or cultures. Some left family, familiar food, and the sound of a language that felt like home. Some moved across the world; others moved across town. And yet, something — or someone — called us here.

This gathering invites us to explore the deeply human experience of migration and belonging: the courage it takes to leave, the grief that sometimes follows, and the hope of finding community in a new place. We'll listen to one another's journeys not to compare hardship or distance, but to understand what it means to put down roots somewhere new — and what it feels like when a place finally starts to feel like home.

This conversation isn't about policy or politics. It's about the stories we carry and the connections waiting to be made when we're willing to share them.

You don't want to miss meeting a new neighbor, hearing their journey, and discovering the threads that connect us across every distance we've traveled!

Following an introduction and fellowship, Project Unity facilitators will lead interactive small group discussions to enhance engagement among participants. It is our hope that through Together We Dine you will find that what unites us is far greater than what divides us.

Welcome back to the table!

Registration will open soon.
